Help Fixing rear seats in my GT

Hi, I have just bought a 2005 GT. I love the car even though it is up on miles (ex fleet). I do have one problem though, neither of the rear seats will lock into the anchor positions, no mater how hard you push, they are not fixed and free to drop forward! Has anyone else come across this problem or is it one for a main dealer to tackle?

Re: Fixing rear seats in my GT

Could be as simple as something fouling the seats.
Have you took up all the boot floor linings and had a good clear out?

Other than that you should be able to see if the latch mechanism on the seats is springing back. Could be a bit of muck in there too.
Shouldn't need to be a dealer job unless it's still under warranty.
If it is, get them to do it for free as the car is unroadworthy as your rear seat passengers will get all eaten by a seat!

Try pulling the seats forward and then cycle the mechanism on the fixing point with your finger, make sure the latch is all the way up (there's a red line on it) and then slam the seat back into it - worked for me!! (after about ten go's)
