156 2.4 JTD upgrades

I'm looking for some advice on modding a 2.4 JTD sportwagon, I'm heavily into my old VW's and I'm used to slamming suspension by about 8 inches rather than 35mm ! Can people let me know how they have lowered their wagons ? I'm interested in how low I can go and what products people have tried and tested. Also I'm interested in chipping / remapping the car, again any advice would be most apreciated as this is new territory for me, I'm used to old BMC A series motors and VW flat fours so ECU's etc are not the norm.

id say 35 mill is as low as you can go on the jtd because the sump sits low on that engine mine is lower than that and it is a nightmare with speed bumps
