i think alot of white british drivers ,won't rev there motors ,and they do so much damage driving around under 2000revs in top gear and pushing the accelerator hard ,this squeezes the oil out of the main and big end bearings causing wear ,its far better to rev abit higher
but reving hard unloaded ,with old oil and a cold engine will cause damage
Ive always drove cars hard ,and I admit to wrecking a few ,usually cams,timing belts ,headgaskets etc ,but i dont drive cars hard till theyve warmed up ,and my alfa sings when its warm and driven hard
