The HPI, well I wouldn't say it failed, but then again I'm not really sure what it says.
Basically it tooks me money and showed me the report, but it has Not Recorded against every field apart from those I entered. It doesn't no make model, colour, age, anything.
However, before I panic, over the course of the days communications with the garage, he's only had the car 4 days, and the number plate in the photos is a private plate belonging to the guy who part exed it to the garage, so he gave me the new number plate.
I am assuming (hoping?) that this is a case that DVLA (or whoever) has yet to update the record hence there is no data. Am I right, wrong, runaway?
And of course the next step is, how can I get the right HPI check (In next 24 hours!)? Have I got to spend another £35 and run it against the old private plate instead or am I gonna end up having waisted £70.
Alightly confused, but not yet panicking ;-)
