Re: Crank end float / vibration through the clutch
This is felt at any speed, not necessarily at takeoff.
If I'm doing 40 in 5th and I just lightly rest my foot on the clutch so it doesn't slip the pedal doesn't vibrate.
If I then press the accelerator but leave my clutch foot in the same position the vibration is felt through the clutch pedal where it was smooth under light load.
I'm fairly certain that the clutch isn't slipping at that stage.
I reckon a release bearing would be felt at all loads, and clutch contamination would need the clutch to be slipping to be felt.
Would a possible approach be to replace the thrust washers? and how difficult is the TS sump to remove with the engine in situ to do this?
