Whinney Clutch - Sounds like Thrust bearing but wears off
Now for the last few months my clutch has been whinning like a bit*h when dipped, now it sounds like a thrust bearing as I had one go in a Saxo VTS, but this ones strange as it seems to burn off and is worse on damp mornings.
The clutch bites fine and the car pulls hard, as far as I can tell there is not slipping neither. The car has covered 87k ish and is still on its original clutch as far as I know.
Is this a common problem or just a random clutch problem that is no related to either model or mileage.
Oh and if it is the clutch what we looking at price wise? item and fitting - ruffly as garage prices change
Now with the very cold damp weather the problem seems to get worse, but still seems to burn off. Again any ideas on clutch prices and times involved?
