Re: Anybody have a good thing to say about the Selespeed?
If anyone on this forum can say something about Selespeed its me, I have a 1999 156 sele and apart from a broken clutch release bearing
after 120K no problems whatsoever... Just love the car and the way it shifts gear so smoothly.. at 120K I changed the clutch release bearing and the friction plate, the plate looked like new , but wen you have the bellhouse open you change it nevertheless.
I think it is the way of the future, manual shift is sooo obsolete !
and if car makers like Aston, Ferrari, Audi, Lambo etc have this system , why not us Alfa drivers !!! and for a fraction of the costs
of those expensive cars.
And if you worry about things that may go wrong, you better walk !!!
p.s. and Alfadiag gives me a great tool to look into the gizzards of the sele electronics and repair things if necessary (sofar only checking
error logs which are empty... whooaaa !!!)
