156 2.5 v6 clutch problem

hi all, my first post. i've owned this car for four years without any problems at all, last week i noticed a pool of liquid under the engine, did'nt look like oil more like water, noticed it a couple more times & i now think it was hydrolic fluid as my clutch is on the floor. i've bled the cylinder under the battery but it's still the same, the clutch works after i've pumped it for a while but then returns to the floor as i'm driving. anybody got any ideas what i can try next? any help apreciated. . . .

Sounds like you need a new slave cylinder.

The seal inside wears over time. You start with a leak and one day you have no clutch.

I think they are around 30 or so. Alternative autos or shop4parts should have one.

Fitting is easy, you can get at it by removing the battery and tray. You will probably find that it will be seized into its bracket though, in which case you will need to remove the whole lot and seperate them in a vice.
