Alfa 147 ... a good deal???
I really need some advice on buying an Alfa and I thought where better than here! Any advice you guys could give would be much appreciated.
I have found the following vehicle and I thought it too good a deal to pass up. I have therefore put a deposit down without even seeing the car, and I wanted some advice on what I should be looking out for when I do go and see/buy it in a few days. The car is:
2006 (06) Alfa Romeo 147 1.9 JTDm 16V with Ti spec. The car is a manual, 5 doors, parking sensors, leather seats, 22k miles, 17" alloys, full alfa service history and all other usual extras.
The price is £7000 (less a pretty rubbish part ex on my Peugeot 306).
My reckoning (mainly because of Parkers) is the car is worth nearer £9,000, so I think I am getting quite a good deal, which naturally makes me very suspicious. Are there any common faults or other things that I should be looking out for when I see and test drive the car?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer any advice, no matter how simple (I haven't much previous experience with buying cars in the past)!
