Hi Zeflar, did you know that you can buy the official AR warranty from a dealer yourself (which itself is in reality one of these insurance schemes?) If your car is an import, depending on when you bought it, it may have had 2 years' warranty aleady and you can buy the 3rd year for £289. The only difference in cover is that there is no recovery or hotel bills paid. Identical in all other respects. wink
The standard Alfa Care cover is for 3 years (or 60,000 miles, whichever the sooner). I don't know whether they do any warranties beyond this, but I don't imagine they would do so unless you'd had continuous cover for the previous 3 years. wink
I've just claimed on them today actually (new wiper motor) and they have agreed to cough up..
so seem ok so far. The policy covers a fair bit of stuff, but you do have to have it serviced regulally etc.
I think its about 250 for the top level cover for a year.. I'd say its worth it if anything major goes or even pretty minor.. Alfa dealers don't seem to er... get their spaners out for less then that !
