Wave 147 starter motor advice

My 147 has the, clearly quite common, problem of a "sticky" starter motor. I'm looking to do it myself but was just wondering a few things first!

Having picked up that its a pain to remove from the top, is it easier to remove from underneath? as i have access to a pit i was wondering if that would be easier?

Also does anyone have any photos of it being removed+cleaned and where abouts it is located? I had a quick look for a previous instruction post but couldnt see one!

I'm quite new to the whole fixing your own car thing so need a fair bit of instruction!

Any help would be appreciated
