Nigel from Angel Tuning certainly isn't T1ts up, but he is having a bit of a reshuffle.
New Parent Company, New websites, etc etc.
The whole administration/bankrupcy thing was from a new member, devil666 i think it was, who set up his AO membership with the sole purpose of soiling his name. The reasons, well, it was a behind the scenes buisness thing that went pearshaped, through no wrong doing of Nigels, but he thought he could come ion here and drag him down.
The proof was laid out for all, and AO pulled then thread off.
The fire was further fuelled, and made almost believeable because he has been juggling so many different car improvement and development projects, it was time to pull together the big important stuff, and concentrate on them, maybe let the smaller stuff go, mabe just at least under someone elses day to day running.
I think thats about the sum of it, I'm sure he'd be glad to clarify more for you, but as for Angel Tuning, it is very much still in operation, and churning out the great service he always has.
I do speak to him quite often, i do consider him a good friend, but most importantly, that started out as a customer of his, and i would recommend him to anyone that will listen.
He has done many vehicles for me, including none alfa's, all have been superb.
The boxes of tricks can work, but some tend to be a little old fashioned in their methods, i.e a huge boost level increase and let the car sort its own fuelling out, it feels good, but might not BE good.
Nigels maps will be selected from a huge variety from the enormous amounts of similar cars he has done them on, and tailored for your cars current status, including other supporting mods, planned mods, driving styles and habits, and properly capped to safe useable limits.
Theres little point having a box of tricks that feels fantastic if you need a gearbox off Santa!
and finally, the box of tricks has an insurance implication.
if you had a bump, god forbid, unless declared to your insurance company as a tuned car, or hidden in your trousers when the old bill come sniffing, you could be in for a nasty surprise, i.e invalid insurance, the evidence of the box is always present attached to the car, and the 5'o aint as daft as people think.
the Angel way is invisible, even if you enter the ecu from a diag program, it will only give a written software date, it reveals nothing more about what for, why, by whom, and to what end.
Nigel and Angel all the way for me, and many others.
