Driving home yesterday (snow, ice, etc.) my 147 stalled while I was manoeuvring and flashed the message "Selespeed System Failure" on the display. I turned it all off, switched on, selected neutral, and started again, and it worked perfectly: does anyone know what's going on? It was cold (-2 degrees) and I had lots of electrical things on (lights, wipers, heater) and all of the other electronics were doing their thing - ABS, ASR, and so on. Should I take it to a dealer? It only did it once and has worked perfectly since.
p.s., anyone from a colder country than UK, feel free to have a good laugh at us now. wink

My VW worked fine in -20 C (for 2 weeks it was every morning -16 to -22). It was parked outside too.
In these temperatures the engine was producing 5% more horsepower. I wanted to race it on the highway.
I am in Canada though.
