File two flats on the circular rim of the plug,use large mole grips on them and,if necessary,use a hollow tube extension.It worked for me.You'll need a new plug of course.The new plug needs a new washer and tightened to only to 15 ft/lbs-(17Nm.)The overtightened plug used to be a classic problem with Alfa Service departments who couldn't be bothered to use a torque wrench.It happened to my 146,147 and my 156 even when I reminded the Service department not to overtighten it!The last time it happened it took 90Nm of torque to undo it.That's tighter than the alloy wheel nuts should be....
Some owners I know were even charged for a helicoil repair when the mistake (on a car still under warranty) was clearly caused by the only people who had touched the car!They are no longer a dealership,fortunately.
