The Sparco pedals have rubber studs (or buttons) that can be inserted for better grip (brake and clutch pedals), or left out (for the gas pedal) for less traction.
The OEM pedals are too far apart for heel-n-toe, and the brake pedal is positioned too deep into the footwell. I had to bring it forward with a piece of thick rubber to get a better alignment with the gas pedal when heel-n-toe-ing.
The set I'm using provide just the right spacing. The previous set from Sparco was too wide and the pedals ended up too close together.
In short, it's more of a functional item for me, and I do agree they're not the best looking pedals out there. I've definitely seen better, but they won't fit!
