Had a new problem with my 147 Selespeed last night. When I opened the drivers door the selespeed pump did not kick in, hence I couldn't start the car. All of the ignition checks said they were ok, engine immobiliser was ok, and the usuall lights came on and went off, only thing I couldn't do was turn the engine over. I had been driving the car a day earlier with no problems so I'm guessing that the selespeed system wasn't already at pressure?
Anyway eventually after about 5 mins of head scratching and getting in and out of the car to poke under the bonnet, I opened the drivers door and the pump came to life. I'm sure I didn't do anything under the bonnet other than check the oil etc. The car seems to be working fine now but I'm a bit worried that I'm going to end up stranded somewhere and unable to start my car.
Anyone had this problem before? Any ideas what may be causing it or is it best to get it to someone with an examiner?
