Re: Motor Control System Failure
Hi as others have said the only way to be sure is to buy some diag equipment, i gote a elm 327 clone from ebay and have never looked back it only cost £29.
I had the dreaded MCSF light on my 156 jts and spent weeks trying to sort it out without sucess, this is when i got the diag unit straight the way pointed at the lamba sensor, so i cleaned up some connectors moved some wires and job done no more MCSF.
Do get your battery checked though as it can play havoc if a bit dodgy.
I also used the same unit on a friends saab last weekend, his car had lost all power and had the engine warning light on, plugged it into the laptop which pointed at a faulty map sensor, took it out cleaned it and the saab now runs perfect.
i swear these diag units are priceless, especialy when a Stealer will charge you 100 quid just to plug it in.
