Head Gasket or something else ???
I have an 02 cf3 156 2.0 T.S. 62,000miles, it is chucking out a hell of lot of steam from the exhaust and using up coolant, I can't see any leaks . It doesnt overheat , the heater works fine apart from a slight bubbling sound heard inside from behind the dash for a little while and there is no white gunk on the oil filler cap or on the dipstick, however there is a "Froth" in the coolant expasion tank floating on top of the coolant. I drove about 2 miles today and re checked the coolant, it was ok but the top hose had become rock hard.
There is no discernable drop in performance and the engine is not lumpy or missing. Could it be anything else other than the head gasket ? Your thoughts please.
