I had a car inspected today and Im pretty sure I want it now. Its 5dr, black with Tan leather seats. 2.0 Manual . Looks nice from the pics. Good price too. Has 95,000km on the clock.
Just a few minor niggles with it tho, wondering if they are common and easily fixed.
There is a rattle at idle, acording to the assesor its a flexible part of the exhaust that will need replacing. Easy w/e job?
The keyless entry doesnt work. Well atleast not on the key he was using. ( I remember reading about this before, how the range decreases over time... ?).
The underbody guards (plastic ones) have come loose and are hanging a little. Would it be ok, just to take these off are they really important?
And its had a full head revamp (due to timming belt), but has done almost 2000km since, and there is no sign (yet...) of bottom end damage.
The inspector complained of a slight creak at the front, and he jacked the car up twice and couldnt find any give or movement in the suspension. Could it be the dash squeek many people have metioned on here?
Biggest problem, the 1200km I will have to drive to bring her home
Any help would be appriciated, cant wait to join the Alfa club.
