It could be a simple case of a MAF on the way out but it did seem rather 'violent'. Drove up to coatbridge for a training course today, bout 45ish min of motorway miles for me.
On the return I got to the end of my street, where there is a short stretch of country road and decided to boot it, planted it in 2nd gear and all was well til about 5k rpm when it nearly put me through the windscreen then lurched forward again. Had a check when I got home and she was running pretty poorly, sounded ok when revved but the exhaust was 'popping' when I lifted.
Apart from that she seems to have been running well recently. I suspect MAF because of the power loss but it did seem rather more violent than just power loss. Any ideas?
