The Alfa recommendation is Selenia 20k on the petrol engines. I once heard a rumour that they wouldn't up hold warranty claims if Selenia wasn't used. Then, at the next service, the dealer had used Shell Helix, but the pats department still only stocked Selenia...
Unless you drive like Tarquini all day every day, I think the biggest issue would be if the dealer was charging you the same price for your service, but using cheaper oil....
