<strong>Don't torture yourself! No - the noise would be audible from the inside if it was suspension bushes. Like a dull knocking from behind the bulkhead. Can you hear it with the bonnet up and the engine running? Listen near the alternator etc becuase sometimes the bearings can rumble on those, but it would be more regular. What abouit power steering pump?? Can you listen while someone winds from lock to lock?? Last thing, peer underneath and make sure the sump hasn't been clouted, as the V6 & JTD are heavy lumps.
(Lovely lumps, but heavy lumps)

Only hear it when pulling away from rest. Not sure if i can check it with the bonnet up as it only does it when in gear!! might try to find a muppet at work to walk along side it as i pull off!! no noise when turning the wheel however, only when bringing the clutch up in gear from rest, in neutral no noise.
Clouted Sump!!!! should i be siting down for this?! having said that i could see how this would be very easy to do, the undertray scrapes at every opertunity esspcially on rutted roads with more than one passneger in the car. not bad in the uk (just avoid crappy inside lanes of some motorways) but in sweden almost all roads are crap!!
