I didn't know about Ipswich nomad. I did speak to them about 2 years ago about one particular issue, and they were not helpful at all over the phone - totally disinterested actually. So I wonder if things are sinking in at ARUK?
Well this is the big thing IMO... it's all about attitude to the customer isn't it !!
IIRC Ipswich lost their franchise in the ARUK cull of shi-ite dealers !!
When using 'the spuds'
I found the 'couldn't give a toss if you are happy or not' attitude prevailed - even from the sales staff despite all the BS they gave me about "We want you to buy our next car from us too so after sales service is very important to us" - (yeah right
) - and that's what fecked me off the most !!
And don't get me started on the utterly filthy - inside and out - loan cars they provide
(I don't include either of the chief techs in that generalisation BTW as they were both genuinely knowledgeable/helpful
Now the current dealer I use - HRO
- made a potentially serious (for me) error on my last service but they couldn't do enough to rectify the situation for me !!
Dan on Service Reception stayed at the showroom until gone 7pm just in case the AA recovered to the dealership, had a loan car - which are clean and spotless inside and out BTW - ready to go in case I needed it to keep mobile, called several times to see how I was getting on with the AA and what was happening, then was on the phone first thing the next morning to arrange for their driver to come and collect the car and return it to me after giving her the once over !!
Even today it's been arranged for some warranty work to be done for me while I wait - all sorted by them at my convenience and with minimum disruption to my working week/day and without me having to chase them - and when there I know I will be offered somewhere comfy to sit/relax and there will be the offer of tea/coffee on offer too
Now that's the attitude that all
AR dealers - and some other marques - should have IMO
