1) The frequenters of this forum already know my "noisy tappets" problem. Actually it was not the tappets as it seemed, it was a leak from the manifold gasket. It was a ticking noise (similar to tappets' noise) that happened when starting the (cold) engine for 30 seconds. The dealer changed the gasket and the problem went away.. for a week!! I visited the dealer for a second time, they changed the gasket again, following
"special procedue" using glue etc.. "It wont happen again". Well guess what, it happens again.
What could be happening??
2) I hear a noise from the upper part of suspension, only
when i turn the steering wheel while braking at the same time. The noise is similar to the brake pads sound when the car barely starts to move while stepping the brakes in a downhill. But it comes from the upper part of the suspension and comes from the left side when i turn right, and vice versa. I hear nothing on potholes and bumps.
I visited the dealer, they said it might be from the upper wishbones, they dismounted TWICE the suspension and greased everything. It didnt work
Has anybody experienced this?
I repeat, the sound happens only during the steering wheel is turning while stepping the brakes, most times it happens on downhill crossroads when i turn and braking at the same time, or when i approach crossroads with higher speed and braking intensively and turning at the same time. Sometimes its not a single "dup" but 2, 3 or 4 like creaking, some other times its just a sigle knock.
I visited the dealer twice for both problems. A third visit will be on 15 days.
Any experience on these ?
