So I was cruising home happily at a steady pace of 140 km/h after work today.
All of a sudden, big bang and lots of noise!
There was nothing on the road, just driving on a nice, clean road.
First thought: my right rear tyre blown.
Second thought: Ze german in ze kadett next zo me muzt have zrown a brik in my wheelz (Hey, I can't help what I think
Stopped to looked at my rear tyre. Everything OK.
Tried to pull up my handbrake lever: I could pull it so far that it pointed right at my roof!
Drive again, tried my brakes, everything OK.
After 5 minutes of driving, my handbrake light went on (those Italians are really quick guys).
At home I looked under my car: there's a long cable made like a spring hanging loose under my car.
Obviously I think it's the cable for my handbrake
And to think just before I went home I stopped at the garage to make an appointment to look after my brakes! Now the previous posts I made about my brakes (mainly the clang noise) really make sense! And don't give me much confidence in the brakes of my Bella
