Thought I'd drop a note on this matter. A friend of mine and I ordered two sets of Sienas from UK a while back. I forgot exactly where from, we had a local shop ordered them for us.
My set fits with no problem (17x7.5 ET31 with 215/45-17 tires), but my friend's set (18x8 ET28 with 225/40-18) had fender clearance problem at the rear. He had to roll the fenders in the end.
Personally the roads in Bangkok, Thailand are pretty lousy. I think 17" is more suitable for daily use.
