Guys, I think your missing the point. My car was never remapped or tampered with in anyway, its as it left the factory. The driveshafts are weak, period. I have done hundreths of thousands of miles in diesels and turbo diesels, mostly Peugeots, and have never had a problem with a driveshaft other than split cv boots. A remap will certainly exacerbate the problem, as will unleashing all that torque at low revs, but thats how you are suppose to drive a diesel, the torque is developed low down for a reason. The problem lies at the design stage of the 2.4 JTD, blame Alfa Romeo, not the drivers or remaps.
