well i was at this autoparts dealer earlier in the day, he suggested them to me. They were 12GBP for the pair and he said they were way better than the philips blue vision bulbs (he said i could take some of his for free as he had so many in stock).
I asked him abt overheating and he said if that were to happen the casing would 'yellow'. now he wasnt sure if the 147s casing would yellow so that's what i wanted to confirm - would they 'yellow'?
and are there many types of these bulbs? the ones i saw in his shop spelt xenon with a Z - (zennon).

Da! When I bought the VisionPlus thingies, the guy told me that BlueVision bulbs are no longer made, because they are not as good as the VisionPlus and have also worse lifetime. I think he was full of crap about the "not producing anymore" part
There are a lot of bulbs "filled with Xenon gas" around. Normally they have names like Laser Light, Zenon, Ultra White etc. In general, please stick to the bigger brands like Philips or Osram. The Dutch ANWB (like ADAC) did a test on bulbs and this showed that all those cheaper "Xenon" stuff had a very poor lifetime & a bad lightperformance
BTW: the REAL Xenons HID bulbs need a very high voltage to start up, so they have to come with electrical transformers....
