Hi Malcolm,

Welcome from an ex-pat New Zealander! I'm glad to hear that more durable modern Alfas are surviving the windy Wellington weather.

I'm biased of course as an ex-Christchurch resident "mainlander"! All jokes aside i'm looking forward to coming back soon to use my clean NZ drivers licence on some of the great NZ driving roads..

What better excuse do you need to entertain visitors than an Alfa and great fun spotting scenery? Brings back memories of trips around NZ in various Italian favourites.

My first and most memorable trip was in a Fiat Bambina (500F) which I did 3500km in a week North and South Islands! Wellington sticks in my mind on that trip as it was parked outside the Wellington YHA on Friday night and when I came out the next morning it was 50 metres down the road on the footpath!

Later I did similar trips my Alfa Sprint QV and Fiat X1/9 1500 seeing friends in Auckland and Paraparumu-I remember also going around the racetrack at Taupo in a Tipo!

The previous owner of my (Australian) Sud is a well known Wellington resident Alfisti who you might know if you are involved with AROC in Wellington...

Small world isn't it!

Best Wishes and happy Christmas to all!

Well, Kiwi, welcome to the forum. A V6, hmmmm, you must have the Alfa grin permanently engraved in your face, just like yours truly!

Greetings from the other side of the world!
