Finally some serious research on the lovely sound of the 147 2.0!

Went out and recorded three new sound files today, this time with the K&N air filter mounted. So now you can compare, sort of before and after thing, which should also give you a hint as to how much louder it is, because the recordings have been done as similar as possible, and I've not tampered with the volume. Although the under bonnet recording is too loud for the microphone still, you can hear obvious differences. If the server is slow, come back later. ENJOY!!! -->my 147 section

ps! where did the santa claus smilie go?

Although louder perhaps yes. I don't hear too much difference in the sound (tone/pitch)?

I had my Alfa Dealer really fix the creaking dash problem a few moths ago. He not only took the whole dash off, he jammed felt in between all rubbing parts and now there's no creaking BUT there's one drawback. The felt and other stuff he did to the dash actually blocks out a lot of engine noise. Strange but I could have sworn my engine sounded louder before he fixed the dash. Oh well!

There is quite a big difference in the pitch actually, especialle if you're at around 3k rpm and floor it, there's a lovely deep "roar", but at higher rpm's the difference isn't that big in pitch, it's morre the volume that's changed, but it does sound much angrier, at any rpm. Thanks guys! Glad you liked the sounds, recording this stuff and getting in and out of the car in -15 is hard work, hehehehe... wink
