I just came back from a complete day of "vehicle safety traing" or "slip course"
One of the things we did is emergency braking with one side of the car on dry road and the other on a very slippery surface.
My 147 was the only car WITH ABS that had to make steering corrections eek! So I guess we all have this problem
On the other hand, general emergency braking and manouvring on the splippery surface the 147 prooved to be the best of all cars that day
(also due the my winter tyres)
The instructor was very interested in the most direct steering of the car, the ASR and the general handling
"Competition" was a Merc 220 CDI, Hyundai Santa Fe V6 4x4, Volvo 440
, CitroŽn Xantia (withpout ABS eek! ), Toyroader Avanti wink & VW Caddy TDI 90 bhp.
And the instructor mentioned my car evereytime over the walkie talkies by saying "the Alfa can now start", "the Italian beauty can now brake" or "good luck with your beautiful car"
