Help 147 Fun used to start at 3000!

Hey all.

Having a bit of trouble with my rev's at the moment. Basically when I hit 3000rpm deceleration occurs which is no fun at all! Have to keep her ticking along nicely at 55mph.

I had the car serviced a week & a half ago. The MCSF light had been on for a while previous but never had the problem before it apart from maybe a flat spot between 2000 & 2750rpm at times. The following codes came up on the diag:

P0220 Throttle Position Sensor (Throttle Potentiometer)
P1221 Traction Control System Malfunction
P0340 Phase Sensor

Previous errors which were found in August were:
P0340 Phase Sensor
P0571 Brake Switch
P0335 RPM sensor

I understand that the Throttle Potentiometer is quite expensive to change so want to try a few things first.

So I've had search around and I see a Throttle/ECU reset (are they the same thing? 90 secs on, 90 secs off, on & idle 10 mins? ) could be worth a go.

I've also seen other things like "cleaning the throttle body" and "cleaning or replacing the MAF".

Am I on the right track or whats the best plan of action?

Appreciate any help, thanks.
