BUT I WAS WRONG (i just checked now on the workshop cd wink )
that sensor is just to see the temperature in the centre; there are 4 (YES FOUR, can you believe this!?) other 'treated sensors' with this descripton:
Two are positioned in the duct which directs the air to the lower (floor) vents and the other two are near the centre vents (vent)
They are NTC sensors (where the resistance decreases as the temperature increases) with an operating range of -40 deg to +100deg, accuracy 0.5 deg, resistance at 25deg: 10Kohm.

I was just going to post about the four sensors......but you're right! And that little spycamera thing on top of the dashboard is really a sunlight sensor
