Spacesaver with 18" wheels

I've just bought a GT Blackline which has the 18" wheels. I realised the overall height of the spacesaver is nowhere near the size of the 18" road wheels. Is this correct?

Re: Spacesaver with 18" wheels

The space-saver is nowhere near the diameter of the 16" tyres either.
Remember it is only a VERY temporary fitment for use at VERY low speeds for VERY short distance.

ie, if you are 100miles from home it is not safe to drive home on it.

Re: Spacesaver with 18" wheels

i've not looked at the one in my Alfa but i have seen plenty before with 50Km max distance, and 50Km/h max speed or something like that.

the idea of the space savers is to get you to the nearest tyre place to get the proper wheel repaired.
