brake squeal in reverse?

I had all pads and discs replaced on my 156 2.4JTD recently, and I'm getting a loud squeal when I touch the brakes while reversing slowly. Is there an anti-squeal shim or suchlike on the 156 that might have been missed when fitted, or something else that could affect this that i could ask my local garage to check out? There's no noise when applying the brakes in forward gears.

Re: brake squeal in reverse?

There aren't any shims ... we usually use copperslip on the backs of the pads.
