All the wee things I've had up until now are no biggie, but the handling on my car is really beginning to do my head in. I wonder if someone can help, or just confirm that it's normal...
I've got a 2.0 Sele 147, and I'm running 214/45/R17's on Goodyear Eagle F1's. The tyre pressures are at the recommended rating.
My problem is this:
I'm getting quite severe pull to the left when I go over the slightest blemish in the road; including over white lines coming off a slip road on the motorway.
I just don't feel anywhere near as confident behind the wheel as I did when I had my Mini Cooper. Had it out a run on the back roads near my house at the weekend, and the car can become quite difficult to handle (especially under heavy braking).
This is even in the dry by the way. When the roads are wet, the car has a nasty tendency to swing out on me, even at low speeds. This makes me want to take my bloody Skoda or Civic anywhere when it's wet!!
Given the fact that I've got quite a bit of experience of driving (on road and track) I'm glad that I'm able to handle everything so far. however to me it's just not right.
I've gotten used to the steering being super light compared with other cars I've had, something I didn't think I'd get from an Alfa to be honest!
Any advice/tips would be gratefully appreciated.
