some time ago I asked about my braking problem (steering wheel shakes when braking). Last week I had my 20.000 kms maintenance. I asked them to look after it. Afterwards, I didn't have time to talk to the mechanic, but the secretary said my car was fixed. Of course the problem is still there, but maybe it's not to worry about.
Anyway, now I find that when I need to brake real hard and the road is not smooth, my ABS disables my brakes. OK, that's normal, but on this car it really does this for a long time. Have any of you seen noticed this also?
Also, I get a load "clang" noise from under my car. Like some kind of metal hit my bottom. The first time I thought I lost my brakes!
I would think that since an Alfa is such a sporty car, that the ABS would not be so intermittent. On my Golf it didn't do it as much as on my 147.
PS for the guys from Belgium, it's on the N49 between Knokke and Zelzate that I notice this. The road is sometimes pretty bad there...</strong><hr /></blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Don't get me started about the N49.. that road is hideous eek! Have to drive it twice everyday..the stretch between Antwerp and Beveren puts my kidneys between my ears everytime
Anyway Chris, this topic was discussed before.. check this lounge, it's in here somewhere..
