My New 147!!!
Just picked up my new 147 yesterday and it's superb! I've been on the look out for a while, but couldn't find the right one, but came accross an absolute peach whilst looking at another one on autotrader.
It's a 53 plate 2.0TS lusso manual 3 door in a metalic dark grey (not quite black), with red leather interior. 23k on the clock, bose, winter pack etc. The wheels are unusual, not the normal types of 17 and not seen them on the 147 before, and wasn't sure of them in the picture, but I must say that, everything about the car looked 3 times better in the flesh than even the photos with excellent bodywork and hardly even any dinks on the doors. Anyway, I did the deal and am now a proud alfa owner. (I will try and get some pictures up next weekend after i've given it a thorough clean, but here's some from the advertisement for now). It drives extremely well with no knocks or creeks. The gear change is nice and light as is the clutch. (even all the elecrics work!!!) All in all, totally impressed
On the technical front, I'd like to get it serviced and have a mechanic cast their eye over it. Been that's it 23k, what would you guys suggest that I should pay particular attention to on a service? I'm unsure about the cambelt, so should I do it even though it's below the 36k interval? Any other areas of importance? By the way the service indicator seems to show 0 miles to service, but there's no warning lights on.
Any advice, much appreciated.
