Harry, thanks for that, I only became a paid up owner in August, so I'm not kicking myself too hard. I might drop by Bishops and see what they have in the bin anyway. Spare parts people seem friendly enough.
It was actually memories of that cult that have inspired me to contemplate this. Couldn't decide whether it would be a fitting 'end' to our old Citroen ZX to just chop the front off that. Problem is that there'd be too much weight on the ball. So the Alfa route is more likely.
The loose plan is to take a mould off the car, up to the front edge of the back doors, and as high as the crease line in the flank. I want the floor height of the trailer to be roughly the same as the boot height in the car, and plan to have storage bins under that and behind the axle. If I mould the floor and "body" in one piece I'd then fix a bumper to that. The alternative is to include the bumper in the body mould and have a separate floor moulding to which the body connects. (Trying to cut down the number of parts and thus ensure that I actually get around to it)
Actually, I'm in West horsley, but didn't expect anyone to know where it is!
If you should happen to write the front of yours off, you will let me know - won't you?! Just don't get hurt.
