Hi All, I'm a newb to the forum so please be gentle!
I have a 2002 facelift 156 1.6 Turismo.
It has recently started having an issue with overheating, I'm a home mechanic and know how to check head gasket etc, I'll tell you the symptoms and what I've done so far....
The car from cold runs almost immediately up to hot sometimes, other times it stays very low, but can shoot up high at any time and does so within a mile or so, it is as if there is a blockage on the water system, the head gasket is fine, been checked in many ways including dye.
I have taken the rad off and checked for blockages, it's fine.
Removed the thermostat in case it was seized shut, nope.
Blown compressed air through the system at the header tank upper pipe and it comes through the other header tank pipe fine.
Yet still the car gets hot fast, anyone have any ideas, 3 weeks with this fault and I'm pulling my hair out.... I'm convinced it must be something stupid but I can't find it!
Thanks in anticipation!
