Anyway, no problems with the turbo (have done now 28k km in about 5 months). I always use 10 min. to warm up and 3-4 minutes to cool down the engine/turbo.
The fact that you have experienced more power is perhaps due to the fact that normally the Garret turbo has a variable "fan". Perhaps if it brakes down, air is ALWAYS driving the complete chamber and giving more power ?
I bet some REAL mechanics are now laughing @ my explanation
