Good dealer in East Anglia?

I'm having problems with my existing dealer in rectifing a persistant fault with the selespeed gearbox on my 147. I keep getting fobbed of with a reset of the computer and an oil change - neither of which have worked. The problems have occured fairly regularly over the last 25,000 miles and almost every day now.

Am I likely to experience any hostility by going to another dealer to get the problems fixed under warranty?

Can anyone recommend a decent dealer in East Anglia (other than my present Desiras in Bury St Edmunds)

Quite honestly I'd even pay to have it fixed if necessary I'm that fed up.

Please help!

Thanks for your help every one

I think Desiras in bse/diss and norwich/gt yarmouth are different companies under different management(think there was a family rift somewhere along the line! and the company was split)

I've been told by someone else to avoid desiras bse and diss.

Do i fancy doing a garage review?!?!?

Not really mate other than to say they have been first class on all aspects...sales/after sales/servicing.....the lot.

Plus last time i was there, there was a right good looking bird who kept insisting on bending over to use the water machine in front of me!

I think it could be an italian subliminal marketing strategy to make you go back!....just a thought, i have been back a 100 times since just to sit in front of the water machine.

I went to the Deseira near hertford, spoke to one of their top mechanics while buying a sump plug. I had the handbrake light come on when i was driving around, spoke over the phone (as they are my nearest dealer) and then in person, both times they said i would need a new handbrake. I then looked in the alfa manual, when the handbrake light come on when driving around it could also mean brake/clutch fluid is low, guess what, paid £2.50 for some more fluid, all ok...scankers m8.
