Well... its been a month tommorow since I picked up my new 147...
Ive spent the past hour trying ever so hard to relax, im so upset at the state of my car and the problems ive encountered.
Ill give you a rundown on whats happened;
Delivery of my new Black 2.0 147 selespeed.
When I washed the car the I noticed a few things.
On the left rear wheel, there is a 2cm scratch.
The front right quater panel has a chip which has been touched up with paint. I was not told that the had done this when I picked up the car.
The sunroof lining on the inside of the car does not fit right which has caused the ends to be uneven.
The scratch, chip and sunroof lining are all being repaired tommorow. The dealership requires the car for 3 days.
The sunroof somehow got stuck open and would not close nomatter how many times I restarted the car and turned switches.
I was in city mode, in 5th gear and it all of a sudden went to neutral and the engine went to 6000 rpm!!! I quickly clicked downgear and it went back into city mode and was fine.
The dealership reset the selespeed and sunroof, and when I picked up the car there were very very obvious grease marks on my natural tan leather.
At a cost to me of $33 AUD ($15 US) the leather upholstry was cleaned by a leather specialist.
I noticed a very wrong noise coming from the engine. Sounded like a bird chirping which turned out to be a lose fan belt of some sort. That same day the noise was fixed, but it returned 2 days later and is still there.
The dealership say that will fix it 'again' when its in to get the paintwork and wheel done this week.
14th October - Present
The petrol indicator does not go to '0'. I have run out of petrol 2 times since getting the car because it says I have 1/8 of a tank when it runs out. Again being looked at this week.
By the time they have the car for 3 days this week, I will have been using a loan car for a period of 5 days in total. This has cost me $250.00 AUD ($125.00 US) in car repayments to drive a second hand car rather than the new car I bought.
Then just to top it off, this afternoon I go out to my security carpark in my building where I work to find that someone has violently opened there car door into the side of my car. They didnt hit the door, but just behind it on the rear quater panel. As you know, its not an easy spot to fix. Especially since they indented the 'peak' of the panel.
I am very very dissapointed to say the least. Hopefully the dealership will fix the dent caused from the opening door for free as compensation for all the problems ive had.
