147 'Clunky' suspension

Hi me again

Just wondered, do 147's normally have clunky suspension? Just bought a 2.0 selespeed, 52 plate with 50k miles and an Alfa FSH. Have noticed when I go over divots or bumps in the road that it's pretty noisy, not squeeky, but clunky, and its the same with speed bumps - am I right in thinking this is not normal?! There seems to be quite a lot of road noise in general coming through into the cabin compared to my old car (which was a really knackered 11 year old MGF!) The Alfa is on 17 alloys with Pirelli P7000 tyres if that makes any difference - I know nothing about cars as you can tell!!!

Any advice please?

sounds like your roll bar links need changing not to big a job but sometimes can be a bit of an arse the bolts need grinding off from time to time. At very worst it could be your ARB and may be even the lower wishbones.

Yeah, it could be the wishbones wearing out. As for tire roar, I haven't found a tire that grips well and is quiet. I've gone through Pirelli Dragons and P7's and they make a lot of noise when they're worn, especially on concrete roads, although wind insulation on the 147 seems to be pretty good.
