Petrol Gauge

A few people have mentioned about the petrol gauge not going all the way up when filling up with petrol but that it corrects itslef after time.

On my 156 it can be so full it is spilling out unyet it will only go upto the 3/4 mark - it has been doing this for two months and never corrected itself!!!!

Any ideas??

i'd take it to the dealer if i were you, it sounds like a faulty fuel sensor/float.
my cousin already had to change it who times on his Fiat Brava. its quite expensive btw

I just hope that the car is still under warranty. Maybe it's not such a bad thing after all.

My 147 fuel guage doesn't go all the way the the 0 mark !

Now that is frustrating......... found myself coasting to the nearest fuel station, luckly down hill all the way.

My 156 fuel gauge doesn't work full-stop. It seems to think it's a rev-counter. During acceleration / deceleration it shoots all over the place & the low-fuel warning light comes on when it goes over 3/4 full...! I just keep filling up & hope I don't run out. Luckily it's a faulty float / sender so getting fixed under warranty though have to wait a week for parts.
