poor old 156
A few weeks ago I posted a thread about my 156 v6 not going above 5k rpm. I was told it was the MAF sensor. Since then I have installed a new MAF sensor and air filter. The engine will now rev cleanly to 7k rpm.
Unfortunately, the idle is very uneven and is hunting between 500 and 1300 rpm when i let my foot off the throttle, it eventually settles down into a rough idle at around 800rpm but sometimes stalls.
I have a sneeky feeling that it could possibly be an air leak somewhere that is causing this. I recall having considerable difficulty removing the MAF from the airbox and have broken one of the three bolts.
So to summarise, I have sorted ouy one problem but gained another.
