Re: What temperature does your 156 run at?
Ok - went to get diagnosis done today, found something interesting,
despite gauge readin 70, ecu said temp was 85,
then after heaps f sitting at idle
gauge went to 80-85, ecu said 93
So new theory, although i need to replace stat anyway cos i messed with it, i may need to check and replace the sensors. Apparently there may be a separate sensor for the ecu and a separate sensr for the gauge-any thoughts?
If my car things it's warmer than it actually is, ie car at 50, ecu thinks 80 then it'll lean the airfuel mix which could be causing bad running at cold starts and may cause loss of balls at high rpm.
Also worth noting, My loss of power at 5200+ rpm was almost non evident when my gauge was reading mid 80s (ecu93ish). That tells me it's temp related
