Hmm... 50'000 miles @ 30ish to the gallon
= approx 1666 gallons of petrol that filter has strained .
Might be time for a new one i think .
Last injected petrol car i had I changed the filter and the contents looked like a cross between week old coffee and soup.
Cured a mystery misfire too in the process.
BTW ... these arent your usual plastic in-line filters , these are serious high pressure can type ones so dont expect them to
be really cheap .
Diesel filters are a service item and very important to change.
I drove a diesel 4x4 for years and it made a noticable difference when the fuel filter was changed ... not a difficult job... just smelly on a diesel.
