Hello everybody! I don't know if this is topic that's been gone over before now, but my search turned up a bit fruitless so appologies if this proves to be a repeat post..!
I got an ipod connection fitted into the glove box of my GT before I picked it up (they included it in the price because I'd been assured it played MP3 CDs - which it didn't!).
I've been playing around with it over the past couple of weeks and can't work out if it's behavin gproperly. I can plug my ipod in, press play (on the ipod), hide it in my glovebox and it'll play through the stereo, but I've no control over it from the head unit or steering wheel?
I thought that it would probably be possible since it's a "proper" ipod connection (rather than just a headphone jack).
My car went back in today for them to fix the infamous whistling from the passenger's door and I asked the technician there about the connection today and he seemed confused - apparently they've only installed one or two of them and doesn't know how it's actually meant to work. It didn't come with any form of instructions either..
Does anybody else have one of these? Any idea if I'm meant to be able to control it from the steering wheel? What I have to do to get it to work? I've heard from somewhere else that you have to flash the connection with a bunch of MP3s, but I've no idea what that actually means, or where I'd get the MP3s from..
