He has had the car twice in the last week for trying to fix the window as it has slipped, he has now replaced the regulator, runners and "a clip" at a cost of about £200.
I picked it back up yesterday and this morning, the window slipped again. So off i went to the garage and told them to take another look. He decided that there was too big a gap on the rubber runner that sits between the shiny black strip and the inside of the door. So off he went, got a rubber block and some folded cardboard, put them either side of the door and tried to squidge the gap together with a set of grips. He then took off the cardboard and revealed the damage - WELL DONE MUG!!!!!
He then thought he would take a look at the rubber that the window slides up into. It turns out that part of this has perished and it looks like this is the culprit that is making the window come out of the runner. So his boss will call me Monday and let me know if he can get the rubber strip for me.
But now, i clearly have another problem - WHAT TO DO ABOUT THE SODDING DENTS!
I thini i am within my rights to tell them to call a dent repair place and get them to fix it, and if they cannot turn the panel back to its original, perfect condition, i should tell them i want a new panel. What do you all reckon?
I left the garage today without sorting it out there and then because i was getting more and more irrate with the bloke saying "are you ok about the dents mate, i am sorry"....OF COURSE IM NOT YOU NUMB NUTS....and if i stayed much longer i think i might of dented the outside of my door panel by smashing his head into it!!!
Advice from anyone who has had damage done to their cars my mechanics would be helpful!!!
Thanks in Advance!!!
